The Windows Remote Desktop Services 2016 provides technologies that
enable users to connect to virtual desktops, remoteApp programs, and
session based desktops. With Remote Desktop Services, users can access
remote connections from within a corporate network or from the
Internet. Remote Desktop Services provides functionality similar to a
terminal-based, centralized host, or mainframe environment in which
multiple terminals connect to a host computer. A user can log on at a
terminal, and then run applications on the host computer, accessing
files, databases, network resources.
